Skills & Activities
Here at Redberry we strive to allow our campers to be able to experience a wide variety of skill and activities. Rain or shine we have programs planned for all ages and skill levels.
Campers in the Explore Camp, Lil' Boots Camp, and Discovery Camp are placed in groups and have the opportunity to try each of the skills we offer at Redberry. They do not need to prioritize their skill choices during registration because they get to experience all of the skills (weather permitting) in the course of their camp.
Campers in Adventure Camp, Voyager Camp and Junior Teen Camp have the opportunity to choose the skills that they would like to do while they are at camp. New as of last summer, campers will no longer choose their skills & activities during the online registration process (with the exception of extra cost skills: E-quest - 2 hour horse skill, horsemanship - 1 hour horse skill, and swimming lessons. Spots are limited and these skills will be first come, first serve in the online registration). All other skills will be chosen by campers during their first evening at camp. Campers will get a preview of what each skill activity will include for the week. Campers will then take turns choosing the 3 skills they would like to participate in for the week. We cannot promise that each child will get their top 3 skill choices, but our goal is that campers would enjoy their activity choices, and try new skills in a safe, fun learning environment.
Campers in Teen Camp also do not need to prioritize skills. During the course of their week at camp, there will be daily skill sign up sheets so that teens can sign up for skills that they want to try out that day. This allows for a more relaxed feel to the week and gives the campers an opportunity to be involved in as many different skills as they would like throughout the week.
