Skills
Here at Redberry we strive to allow our campers to be able to experience a wide variety of activities. Rain or shine we have programs planned for all ages and skill levels.
Campers in the Little Boots Camp and Discovery Camp are placed in groups and have the opportunity to try most of the activities we offer at Redberry.
Campers in Adventure Camp and Junior Teen Camp have the opportunity to choose the activities that they would like to do while they are at camp. Campers will choose their activities during registration. We cannot promise that each child will get their top 4 skill choices, but our goal is that campers would enjoy their activity choices, and try new skills in a safe, fun learning environment.
Campers in Teen Camp also do not need to prioritize skills. During the course of their week at camp, there will be daily skill sign up sheets so that teens can sign up for skills that they want to try out that day. This allows for a more relaxed feel to the week and gives the campers an opportunity to be involved in as many different skills as they would like throughout the week
These skills include:
Archery
Learn the basics of archery, from proper stance and safety to drawing and aiming with accuracy. Campers practice patience and focus while enjoying the challenge of hitting the target.
Canoeing
Explore Redberry Lake while developing paddling techniques, steering, and teamwork. Campers build confidence on the water through some fun games, exploration, and learning to work together in a canoe.
Crafts
Dive into hands-on projects that spark creativity and imagination. Campers practice skills like painting, weaving, and building, creating keepsakes to take home and treasure.
Drama
Discover the joy of storytelling through skits, improv, and role-play. Campers learn stage presence, teamwork, and creative expression while having plenty of laughs along the way.
Horsemanship
Connect with our horses while learning how to ride, groom, and care for them. Campers gain balance, confidence, and an understanding of basic horsemanship as they spend time in the arena and barn.
Laser Tag
Engage in fast-paced, strategy-filled games in our outdoor laser tag course. Campers sharpen teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills while having a blast in friendly competition.
Mountain Biking
Ride the trails and tracks around camp while learning bike handling, balance, and trail safety. Campers grow in endurance and confidence as they practice climbing hills, navigating corners, and controlling speed.
Outdoor Adventure
Experience the wilderness firsthand with building skills like shelter-building, fire-starting, orienteering, and knot-tying. Campers grow in survival skills while discovering the fun of outdoor living.
Skateboarding
Whether learning to ride for the first time or working on new tricks, campers develop balance, coordination, and confidence at our skate park. Our staff guide each step, helping campers progress at their own pace.
Swimming
Cool off, splash around, and enjoy summer to the fullest in our outdoor pool. Swimming time is all about fun, games, and making memories with friends.
Ultimate Sports
From soccer and volleyball to camp classics, ultimate sports keep everyone moving and laughing. For older campers, it’s a chance to build teamwork, agility, and sportsmanship through a variety of high-energy games. Younger campers get to join in too with fun activities like parachute games and water games (including the ever-popular drip, drip, drop), making sure everyone can play and have fun together.
Wall Climbing
Harness up and take on the challenge of our climbing wall. Our wall is built with 6 different routes, increasing in level of difficulty for all campers. If climbing the wall seems to simple get prepared for some fun games and challenges while you are up on the wall. Campers learn safety, grip, and climbing techniques while discovering perseverance and the excitement of reaching the top.
