Capital Project: Family Cabin
Project Goal: $150,000
We are able to break ground on this project when we reach 80% of our goal ($120,000)
One of the most important needs facing Redberry Bible Camp today is suitable housing for our year-round staff.
For many years, Redberry has been blessed by dedicated leaders who have faithfully served the camp and its ministry. Strong, stable leadership is essential to the health and future of the camp, and supporting our staff families is an important part of that commitment.
Currently, our Associate Director, George Hembery, and his family live in a makeshift two-bedroom suite above the gym. While this arrangement has allowed them to serve on-site, it is becoming increasingly inadequate as their family grows.
To meet this need, the Board has approved plans to construct a new three-bedroom, one-bathroom Family Cabin on camp property. This cabin will provide safe, comfortable, and appropriate housing for the Hembery family during the spring and summer ministry season, allowing them to continue serving effectively while caring for their family. With this project we will need to bring more power to camp as we are at our max capacity with the power we currently have. Bringing in this power will double our current capacity allowing us to expand even further.
This project will also provide long-term value to the camp. During the off-season, the Family Cabin will be available for retreat guests and rental groups, expanding ministry opportunities and generating additional revenue to support camp operations.
Why This Matters
Investing in the Family Cabin is an investment in the future of Redberry Bible Camp. By providing suitable accommodations for year-round leadership, we are helping to:
Support and retain long-term ministry staff
Strengthen the stability and effectiveness of camp leadership
Create additional year-round ministry opportunities
Generate some income through rentals and retreats
How You Can Help
Our goal is to raise $150,000 to cover the costs of construction, site preparation, bringing more power to camp, and furnishings for the Family Cabin.
Would you prayerfully consider partnering with us in this project? Every gift, whether large or small, will help provide a home for a growing staff family and strengthen the ministry of Redberry Bible Camp for years to come.
Together, we can build more than a cabin—we can invest in the people who faithfully serve, lead, and care for campers year after year.
